Java RecordLayer defines this type using two sfixed64
fields. In
Java, UUID
class consists of two long
values [1], so it makes
sense to use sfixed64
.
In our case, we use uuid::Uuid
which uses type Bytes = \[u8; 16\]
internally [2]. So, we use Protobuf bytes
type internally in
UUID
. From this [3] comment, it looks like Google uses bytes
and string
for UUID.
